Shallow Coral Reef Habitat

Coral reefs are underwater structures built by tiny sea animals. Their beautiful shapes and colors are a magnet for divers. They also provide an excellent home for thousands of marine creatures, including fish we love to eat.

Oyster Reef Habitat

Oysters live in salty or brackish coastal waters, clustering on older shells, rock, piers, or any hard, submerged surface. They fuse together as they grow, forming rock-like reefs that provide habitat for other marine animals and plants.

Recreational Fishing Coordinators

Connect with a NOAA Fisheries recreational fishing representative in your region. These coordinators work closely with regional community leaders to develop and implement the regional recreational fishing action agendas.
