The purpose of this research track is to explore the application and use of state-space models across a wide range of stocks in the Greater Atlantic Region.
This research track will include Georges Bank and Eastern Georges Bank haddock - and will be conducted with Canadian participation, engagement and coordination.
Assessments begin with a plan developed by the analyst. These plans are presented to an assessment oversight panel who will evaluate the feasibility of the plan and determine the amount of review necessary.
The US and Canada will participate in a peer review of the assessment of Georges Bank yellowtail flounder and an update of the biological and fishery indicators for Eastern Georges Bank Atlantic cod and haddock.
