All species of sea turtles are threatened or endangered under the Endangered Species Act. See how Dr. Brian Stacy, a veterinarian who works with the National Sea Turtle Program, examines sea turtle health, welfare, and mortality. Part of his work involves investigating causes of sea turtle strandings. About a third of all  the green turtles, loggerheads, and leatherbacks found stranded have evidence evidence of being struck by vessels. Learn what you can do on the water to help reduce vessel strikes.
