Summary

The HCP for Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District is a multi-species agreement with a 50-year term. This agreement is in place to minimize and mitigate the extent of effects that the District will have during Mad River Operations and activities, which may affect important habitat for multiple species in the area, including federally threatened Southern Oregon/Northern California Coast coho salmon, California coast Chinook salmon, and northern California steelhead. NOAA Fisheries issued the Incidental Take Permit on December 7, 2004.
