This draft stock assessment reports the status of coastal Pacific Hake (or Pacific whiting, Merluccius productus) off the west coast of the United States and Canada at the start of 2021.
This draft stock assessment reports the status of the coastal Pacific Hake (or Pacific whiting, Merluccius productus) resource off the west coast of the United States and Canada at the start of 2021. It represents the collaborative efforts of the official U.S. and Canadian members of the Pacific Hake/Whiting Treaty Joint Technical Committee, and others that contributed significantly. This draft assessment document will be reviewed by the Scientific Review Group (SRG) during their annual meeting on February 22–25, 2021, under the authority of the Agreement Between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of Canada on Pacific Hake/Whiting. The SRG meeting will be held online and details are available here.
