June 22, 2015

This document serves as an interim guidance document to direct recovery efforts for 15 Indo-Pacific corals that were listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act.

NOAA Fisheries has developed a recovery outline to serve as an interim guidance document to direct recovery efforts, including recovery planning, until a full recovery plan is developed and approved for the following 15 Indo-Pacific corals: Acropora globiceps, A. jacquelineae, A. lokani, A. pharaonis, A. retusa, A. rudis, A. speciosa, A. tenella, Anacropora spinosa, Euphyllia paradivisa, Isopora crateriformis, Montipora australiensis, Pavona diffluens, Porites napopora, and Seriatopora aculeata. The recovery outline presents a preliminary strategy for recovery of these species and recommends high priority actions to stabilize and recover these corals.
