Kelly joined the Milford Lab in 2023 as a laboratory technician on a research study that is monitoring the presence of disease within natural oyster populations throughout Long Island Sound. Kelly graduated from Roger Williams University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science degree in marine biology with a minor in visual arts. She conducted coral research at her university and was involved in aquaculture projects throughout her schooling in the wet lab.

After graduation, she did research which involved species indigenous to the Florida Keys, including crabs and coral. Along with research, she has experience with animal husbandry. Through Kelly’s experience she has gained a greater understanding of the importance of research and aquaculture.
