Background

Tiffany has been at the Northwest Fisheries Science Center since 2002. She earned a B.S. in Zoology from the University of Washington in 2000. Tiffany has technical expertise in fish husbandry; she maintains a zebrafish (Danio rerio) breeding colony in support of studies exploring the developmental toxicity of environmental contaminants in fish habitats.

Current Research

Tiffany is currently investigating the cardiotoxicological effects of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, a component of petroleum products, on the early life stages of demersal and pelagic fish, such as Pacific herring (Clupea pallasii) and Arctic cod (Boreogadus saida). She is also utilizing the zebrafish model to further investigate the physiological responses to oil toxicity at the molecular level.

Please see Tiffany's Google Scholar page for a list of recent publications.
