Mary Furuness

Mary is the supervisor for the Inseason Management Branch. She supervises staff responsible for day to day management of the Gulf of Alaska (GOA) and Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands (BSAI) groundfish fisheries and prohibited species limits. This includes opening/closing fisheries, sending Information Bulletins, updating the catch reports, and writing the harvest specifications. Inseason Management works closely with the fishing industry to obtain information necessary to manage the fisheries.
