David Rydene, Ph.D.
Dr. Rydene has served as a fishery biologist in the Habitat Conservation Division of NOAA Fisheries’ Southeast Regional Office since October 2004. In his current role as a transportation liaison, he conducts essential fish habitat and Endangered Species Act (ESA) consultations for transportation projects on the west coast of Florida. He also provides assistance regarding the effects of pile driving noise on ESA-listed species. Before joining NOAA Fisheries, Dr. Rydene conducted research on fish habitat usage in estuarine and coral reef environments.
