Christina Package-Ward

Social Scientist

Christina is a social scientist with the Sustainable Fisheries Division. She conducts social impact assessment for fisheries management plans for the Gulf of Mexico, South Atlantic, and U.S. Caribbean. She has been engaged in a variety of oral history projects interviewing commercial fishermen, recreational fishermen, fishing support business owners, fisheries managers, and members of fishing communities. She began with NOAA in 2001 as an intern for the Pribilof Project Office, worked as an intern and contractor for the Alaska Fisheries Science Center from 2002–2006 and 2009–2011, and started at the Southeast Regional Office in 2011.
