NOAA Offers an Online Workshop for Gulf of Mexico Individual Fishing Quota (IFQ) Program Participants

Key Message:

  • NOAA Fisheries invites all Individual Fishing Quota program (IFQ) participants to attend a virtual workshop, which will include brief presentations on IFQ system functions and fishery regulations, followed by Q&A sessions.
  • For further information, IFQ participants can contact Catch Share Support at (866) 425-7627 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Eastern Standard Time (EST), Monday through Friday excluding federal holidays.

  • Catch Share support staff will provide information on IFQ system functions and fishery regulations.  In addition, a panel of staff will also be available to answer participant questions about the following topics:
    • Southeast Permits
    • Vessel Monitoring Systems (VMS)
    • Enforcement
