Inseason action for non-tribal recreational salmon fisheries north of Cape Falcon, 2023

NOAA Fisheries has taken inseason action in the 2023 non-tribal recreational salmon fisheries in the area north of Cape Falcon. 

  • Effective 12:01AM, Friday, August 18, 2023, through 11:59PM, Saturday, September 30, 2023, the recreational salmon fishery from the Queets River to Leadbetter Point (Marine Area 2 - Westport subarea) is open with a daily limit of two salmon, only one of which may be a Chinook salmon.  All coho salmon must be marked with a healed adipose fin clip.

All preseason regulations remain in place.
