Inseason action for non-tribal commercial salmon fisheries from the U.S./Canada border to Cape Falcon, 2023

NOAA Fisheries has taken inseason action in the 2023 non-tribal commercial salmon fisheries from the U.S./Canada border to Cape Falcon. 

The following modifications to the area north of Cape Falcon have been made:

  • Effective Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 12:01 a.m., through Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 11:59 p.m., for the commercial troll fishery in the area between the U.S./Canada border and Cape Falcon, landing and possession limit of 30 Chinook salmon and 150 adipose marked coho salmon per vessel per landing week (Thursday - Wednesday).
  • Effective Thursday, July 27, 2023, at 12:01 a.m., through Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 11:59 p.m., for the commercial troll fishery in the area between the U.S./Canada border and Cape Falcon, landing and possession limit of 20 Chinook salmon and 150 adipose marked coho salmon per vessel per landing week (Thursday - Wednesday).
  • Effective Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 12:01 a.m., the commercial salmon troll fishery in the area between the U.S./Canada border and Cape Falcon is closed. 

All preseason regulations remain in place.
