2020 Commercial Pacific Halibut Fisheries in Washington

At the International Pacific Halibut Commission (IPHC) Intersessional meeting held May 20, 2020, the Commissioners adopted a regulatory change for Area 2A, amending the deadline to apply for a license to retain incidental halibut in the sablefish primary fishery north of Point Chehalis, Washington. 

The regulatory change revised the deadline to apply for this license from March 15 to May 29, 2020.  Fishery participants that applied prior to the March 15 deadline do not need to reapply.

Fishery entrants may submit an application via the IPHC website until 11:59PM Pacific this Friday, May 29, 2020.
