Summary

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) announces a decrease in the incidental halibut retention limit for the sablefish primary fishery north of Point Chehalis, Washington.

Effective on March 25, 2020, the limit is 200 lb dressed weight of halibut for every 1,000 lb dressed weight of sablefish landed and up to two additional halibut in excess of the 200 lb per 1,000 lb limit per landing.

The Pacific Fishery Management Council recommended this adjustment at its March 3-9, 2020, meeting in Santa Rosa, California.
