Amendment 68 to the FMP for the Groundfish of the Gulf of Alaska Management Area

NOAA Fisheries issues a final rule to implement Amendment 68 to the Fishery Management Plan for Groundfish of the Gulf of Alaska. This action implements statutory provisions for the Central Gulf of Alaska Rockfish Pilot Program. This action is necessary to enhance resource conservation and improve economic efficiency for harvesters and processors who participate in the Central Gulf of Alaska rockfish fishery. This action is intended to promote the goals and objectives of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (Magnuson-Stevens Act), the FMP, and other applicable law.
