This poster was used for a contest to suggest names for three new snailfish species from the Mariana Islands. Students from elementary and high schools in Guam’s Marine Mania program participated in the program’s FishBowl contests. FishBowl is an annual academic challenge focusing on all things marine and open to all schools in Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. Scientists selected two of the names entered by students. The third species was named after the Mariana Islands. Poster credit: Marine Mania/Linda Tatreau of Marine Mania.
