A Continuation of Motherload: The Story of a Fertile Turtle in the Hawaiian Islands

This past March, researchers with NOAA's Marine Turtle Biology and Assessment Program located a fertile female Hawaiian green sea turtle using ultrasound, and put a satellite tag on her to see where she would migrate to lay her eggs. This is the continuation of her story.

Interview with John Henderson of NOAA’s Hawaiian Monk Seal Research Program

Andy Collins, from the Office of National Marine Sanctuaries, interviews veteran monk seal researcher John Henderson about his 43-year career with NOAA. John was on the first NOAA voyage to monitor monk seals in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands and recently took what is likely to be his last trip to the monument.
