Elizabeth C. Siddon

Elizabeth (Ebett) Siddon is a fisheries research biologist in the Ecosystem Modeling and Assessment (EMA) Program at NOAA Fisheries, Alaska Fisheries Science Center, in Juneau, Alaska. Elizabeth leads the southern Bering Sea integrated ecosystem survey and connects ecosystem science to management. As the survey lead, she oversees the sampling design and ensures scientific objectives are met. Elizabeth also collaborates with other NOAA scientists and outside researchers on new projects to maximize the utility and scientific impact of the surface trawl survey. In addition to her survey responsibilities, she leads the Ecosystem Status Report for the Eastern Bering Sea. This report is used by regional fisheries managers at the North Pacific Fishery Management Council to inform fishing quotas each year. Elizabeth has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire as well as a Master’s and PhD in Fisheries from the University of Alaska Fairbanks College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences.
